It’s been nearly three years since I got behind a screen and started writing for this website. ALOT has changed in those three years and now only after three years do I feel ready and committed to get back and writing.
I always enjoyed writing but three years ago took on a job that sucked up any spare time I had for the things I loved, but, now, I made a commitment at the start of this new school year to assign time to do more things that make me happy and spark me joy, and restarting my website was one of them.
So what do I have instore for This Surrey Mummy? When I started this website was a way of which I could connect with likeminded parents of children of similar ages and to a certain extent my niche has not really change but merely grown up.
My children are nearly 11 and 8 and the things we did back then we don’t do so much of now, but the things we do now are new adventures. These days we travel more, we take more trips and I am more versed and experienced in topics that I feel passionately in.
My hope for this website is to bring you travel tips, where to go and how to travel with tweens, and talking of tweens I am going to be sharing the good the bad and the ugly of how I am finding navigating those oh so formative adolescent years. There will be food because you know how much this girl loves here food as well as sharing with you the things I love which will of course include Disney and Disney holiday planning!
So, to all that come to this happy place - welcome. It is truly a pleasure to have you here.
